Stormfrost opened her eye's slowly. She got up and stretched, she was still tired from the night before. She had a hard time getting to sleep. Her mind had kept wanting to drift off to sleep, but her instincts had kept her awake. There hadn't been injuries in almost two moons. It was starting to make jittery. She looked around the den, trying to find something to do. Something to take her mind off everything and give herself a moment of peace. A moment of no worries.
As she was looking around, Stormfrost spotted the herbs section in the back of her den, were an open rock was found and turned out to bea small tunnel. Just looking at it gave her an idea. She had been looking for something to take her mind of things, why not sort the herbs and figure out which one's the clan was geting low on. I can collect whichever we are running low on whe I have finished sorting them. She told herself, within her own mind.
The silver tabby padded through the small cave entrance to her store of herbs. She slowly took all of the herbs from their place and started to put them in their own piles, figuring out which they had the most of and which needed to be restocked. This is going to take a while. She muttered to herself quietly. At least it will get my mind off everything.

A black she-cat limped through the camp, into her mentor's den. "Stormfrost! I got a thorn stuck in my pad, do we have any fresh marigold?" called Breezepaw. Breezepaw continued limping farther into the den to find Stormfrost sorting herbs. She sat down with her right paw still raised, being careful not to get it dirty. I got out the thorn and licked the wound. All I need now is marigold to prevent infection." mewed the apprentice. She was trying to tell her mentor that she knew what marigold was for, even though her paw hurt.
I shouldn't tred over any more thorn branches! she thought to herself, keeping her focus on Stormfrost, who seemed busier then ever. Breezepaw had never seen Stormfrost so busy before, especially since there had been no injuries in two moons. Oh. Because the herbs could be going bad. she reminded herself. Two moon old herbs might not be as god as fresh ones, even though some could still be used.
"Stormfrost?" the little apprentice called to her mentor. The medicine cat didn't seem like her self today, like something was troubling her. "Is something wrong?" she asked. She's probably just tired, Breezepaw. a voice warned in Breezepaw's head. Maybe you should just get marigold yourself...

Stormfrost dimely heard her apprentice call her name. "Stormfrost! I got a thorn stuck in my pad, do we have any fresh marigold?" Breezepaw limped to Stormfrost's side then sat down with her paw raised. "I got out the thorn and licked the wound. All I need now is marigold to prevent infection." Breezepaw told her. Stormfrost nodded at her apprentice. She's learning the herbs well, she thought.
"Stormfrost?" Breezepaw called her name again. Stormfrost had been too busy with sorting out the bad herbs from the fresh ones. "Is something wrong?" Her apprentice asked her. Stormfrost looked at Breezepaw and pulled together the best smile she could manage. "I'm doing fine, Breezepaw." She told her truthfully. "I'm just a little nervous. We haven't had a patient in two moons or so."
Stormfrost went over to her marigold pile. "We don't have much fresh left. Most of it was collected two moons ago, we'll have to go out and collect sme more when I finish here." She picked up some of the marigold from the fresh pile and set them at her apprentice's feet. "Go ahead and use that for your wound and I'll finish up here, then we'll go collect some herbs." She smiled at Breezepaw.
